Osimhen given standing ovation by Napoli fans after wrecking Cagliari

Victor Osimhen continued his impressive form for Napoli as he netted another goal against Cagliari on Sunday.

The Nigerian international was unplayable for the visitors defense and single-handedly won the game for Luciano Spalleti’s side.

Osimhen put Napoli ahead in the 11th minute, thanks to an assist from Irving Lozano.

The African most expensive player was also involved in Napoli’s second goal of the game scored by Lorenzo Insigne in the second half.

Osimhen beats Cagliari defenders, but they managed to bring him down inside from the penalty area and Insigne converted the resulting penalty.

Osimhen has now scored four goals in five league matches for the Azzurri this season, with his other two coming in the Europa League.

He was substituted in the 77th minute and Napoli fans gave him a standing ovations for his superlative performance.

Napoli remain on top of the league with 18 maximum points from 6 matches played so far.
