Nigerian youngster GODSWILL CHINWENDU CHUKWUNOSO has joined Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk from Unique Football Academy, Abuja.
The 1️⃣8️⃣ year old forward will be teaming up with Super Eagles captain AHMED MUSA at his new club 🦅 📙 The story behind the deal is somewhat different from the traditional transfer though as we were made to understand via an interview with the owner of the academy Mr. AINA OLUWASOLA.🗣️ Mr. Aina: “I discovered these boys in the rural area where I lived, trained them and registered the academy in the Abuja FA just so they could get an opportunity to showcase their talents as we were not allowed to participate in some tournaments unless we were registered.🇹🇷
In 2019, some of the boys from the academy were scouted and I travelled with them to Turkey for trials. However, the trials were unsuccessful so I had to return to Nigeria and sell most of my properties to raise funds in order to process their residence permits to remain in Turkey. Thankfully today, all my efforts were not in vain as Godswill impressed the management of Karagumruk and secured a contract with the club.🌟 We still have a number of players undergoing trials in different European teams as of today and we can only hope that this is the beginning of great things for Unique Football Academy (UFA) “.
